A step-up in sound
Built for sound above all else, the Project T1 features levels of engineering excellence that you might not expect at this price. With a specification that includes a CNC machined plinth with isolation feet, a glass platter, one-piece tonearm and a quality Ortofon cartridge, the T1 is made to class-leading standards.
Engineered for sound
Unlike many other turntables around this price, the Pro-Ject T1 has all the elements of a proper hi-fi turntable - just at a lower price. Rather than plastic, the CNC machined plinth is made from MDF. This gives lower resonance for reduced distortion. Mounted to the plinth is a steel/brass bearing that’s the same as the award-winning Essential III and, combined with the new heavy glass platter, provides smooth and stable running for perfect pitch.
Single piece aluminium tonearm
Continuing its hi-fi credentials, the Pro-Ject T1 is supplied with a good quality tonearm. Made from a single piece of aluminium, it's both light and rigid. The more rigid the more precisely it tracks, making listening to your records a more involving experience. For ease of use the tracking forces are preset and ready to go.
Ortofon OM5E cartridge supplied
Part of the standard package includes a pre-fitted Ortofon OM5E cartridge. Highly regarded, this quality budget cartridge gives a smooth, detailed sound that’s at home with all types of music. As part of the Optimum Match (OM) range, the stylus is upgradable to 10, 20, 30 and 40 models, giving plenty of scope for future upgrading.
Choice of finishes
The simple, elegant styling gives the T1 a sleek appearance. Available in black, white or walnut, there’s a colour to suit you. All models come with a removable dust lid.

Great mini upgrade for me
Bought as a very slight upgrade from a Project Elemental I bought at RS about 8 years ago. Connected to a Sonos amp with old wired Wharfedale speakers and a few Sonos speakers. Sonos recommends the phono version of this turntable but I have a Project phono box. Sounds great. Has the same cartridge but I swear it’s a little warmer (not that the old one sounded cold, which is something I had been concerned about with this set up). Also great build quality and cover. And my old Elemental is now in my study with an ancient Rotel amp and sounds great too!

Great first turntable!
Bought this a few weeks ago as a first time turntable buyer. Not in stock at the branch, but Dan was able to find one and organised next day delivery at no extra cost. Easy to set up straight out of the box with minimal assembly. The phono cables which are wired into the turntable are a little bit short, which made wiring into the amp a bit fiddly with my hifi shelving unit, but once set up they are long enough. Very easy to use and really pleased with the sound. The unit also looks great and all parts appear and feel like they are quality and built to last. This model is a bit lighter on the ‘extra’ features side i.e no Bluetooth etc - for me this was perfect as I was not interested in the extra features. Unit does come with a removable dust cover (this was not clear from the description).

Really nice turntable. Arrived next day and was dead simple to set up. The description on the website was accurate, and it’s a smashing player.

exellent Pro Ject turntable
wow what can i say? ive had a number of turntables over the years, including auto return turntables 9poor) a Dual turntable and an old Pro-Ject second hand one. This one beats the lot combined. beautiful looking walnut finish that goes with my walnut speakers and the sound is totally wonderful, rich, deep bass and good treble clarity that brings my vinyl to life and a listening pleasure ive never experienced before. sounds come from my old records that i never knew existed before. small downside is its not an auto return arm but as you have to turn the vinyl over to play side 2, its a small price to pay imo. Buy one, you will seriously not be disappointed.
