Terminated 5m lengths – ready to go
At 5 metres each, these terminated cables are ideal for larger rooms and for when your hi-fi components are to the side of your speakers rather than between them. With the plugs already fitted, simply plug in and go.
Airloc Forte plugs for the best quality termination
QED’s Airloc cold weld system ensures a high contact, long-lasting join between the plugs and cable. This not only gives the best sound possible but also excellent durability, with no chance of a dry solder break or lose connection screw. The Forte plugs use a spring loaded connection pin for a tight connection with all 4mm speaker terminals.

Building on the award-winning original, the XT40i adds new tech to make the best, better still. The new Air Gap dielectric improves the sound’s precision, while improved X-Tube technology enhances the stereo imagining and realism.
Air Gap dielectric
For the improved XT40i, QED has increased the separation between conductors, creating a low-loss Air Gap dielectric. This improves the dissipation and capacitance characteristics, resulting in many sonic improvements. In terms of carrying a rhythm and timing, the XT40i is better than ever.
X-tube technology
Conventional cables can fail to conduct high frequencies uniformly across the entire conductor area. QED's X-Tube cable technology allows a near-linear signal transfer at treble frequencies for greater detail and realism of sound - especially at higher frequencies.
Very low resistance – ideal for longer runs
A further benefit with the QED XT40i cable is the large 4mm squared cross sectional cable area. Combined with the use of 99.999% oxygen-free copper cable, there's very low resistance, which makes it easier for your amplifier to drive your speakers, no matter what its power rating. It also makes the cable suitable for longer cable runs, with less signal loss over longer lengths.

Great service once again from Richer Sounds
Just taken delivery of these new speaker cables which are now bedding in with my new PMC Prodigy 5 speakers. Not a lot you can say about the cables, they're QEDs, good gear but I can say that the service from Richer Sounds was once again exemplary and professional and top notch.

Great cables!
What can I say, the guys in RS recommended these as I hade just bought a top end amp and speakers, they sound great, nice and heavy cable, lays flat, good plus on either end. would recommend. got the 5 meter pack so I had flexibility to move my speakers about.

HAD TO BUT FAR MORE THAN REQUIRED
AS MY SPEAKERS NEED TO FACE INTO THE ROOM WITH ONE EITHER SIDE OF THE SETTEE, I ONLY NEEDED A 3M AND 5M LENGTH BUT I WAS TOLD I WOULD HAVE TO BUY A PACK WITH 2 X 5M LENGTHS WHICH MEANS ONE IS WAY TOO LONG AND THEREFORE THIS IS VERY EXPENSIVE GIVEN THE PRICE OF THE CABLE. I ALSO UNDERSTAND THAT THE CABLE SHOULD NOT BE FOLDED/BENT BUT THERE IS NO ALTERNATIVE IF I WANT TO KEEP THE OVERLONG CABLE HIDDEN WITH IT BEING MUCH TOO LONG AS THE SPEAKER HAS TO GO WHERE IT IS SITUATED.
