More than I expectedI recently got the Ruark MR1 MkII Bluetooth speakers, and am very impressed. I got the soft grey lacquer finish which looks modern and blends well with my room. I'm not an audio expert but was impressed by the crystal clear audio and more than expected bass. I use it for streaming and have a turntable connected also. Easy Bluetooth pairing, intuitive controls, and a remote. These speakers punch above their weight especially if you looking for small speakers.

The Perfect Mini Hi-Fi SystemI am delighted with my MR1 MK2 speakers. I needed some compact speakers for my bedroom and they fit the bill perfectly. The sound they create is way beyond what you might expect considering their size. They are open and detailed with great separation. The bass is understandably limited but it is taut and well defined. I’ve found that by placing the speakers closer to a wall adds more weight to the sound, creating enough bass for my requirements.
What also impresses me about the MR1’s is the clarity of sound at any level, even when the volume is turned down low. They play all types of music in a very natural, engaging way whilst their compact size makes them easy to accommodate.
With the money I saved buying a graded pair (which by the way are in perfect condition as far as I can tell) I bought a Wiim Pro. Streaming hi-res audio to the MR1’s takes them to another level and the Wiim Pro provides sound tweaking opportunities via the built-in equaliser and balance control. I can highly recommend these speakers and for the price I feel they offer great value for money.

My Second PairI needed a new pair of speakers for my PC. There was only one choice, another pair of MR1s! Sound is superb, as you would expect from Ruark. Not the cheapest speakers you can buy, but buying a second pair, tells you how much I love enjoy listening to their spatial, but natural sound.

Fantastic SpeakersWow, these absolutely superb speakers! They were great anyway but I added a DragonFly Cobalt DAC and now they're like 10/10. The best speakers I've heard and fantastic for desktop listening.

Compact size and great sound. Impressive!!!Wow!! I bought these for my office area and I am really impressed. The sound quality and presence for such a small speaker is amazing and the build quality and finish is great.
Ruark even make an optional rechargeable battery pack that fits on the rear of the speaker so you can move them anywhere you like.
It would be nice to have a USB input, but apart from that I cannot fault them.
I am now contemplating adding the RS1 subwoofer at a later date!

MR1 Mk2 Bluetooth Speaker SystemThe awards from 'What Hi-Fi' are well deserved. The bass is really good and round for a Desk top speaker system. The mid range is clear and defined, and the high range is sharp and crisp. Overall I am very pleased with the performance and would thoroughly recommend these speakers.

Compact & ExcellentEasy to set the Ruark Audio-MRI MK2 speakers within my limited space of desktop. The sound is unexpectedly excellent, no matter via wired or bluetooth connection. One pitfall is that that is no "visual expression" of its sound level that sometimes it may be OVER when it starts to play music in the beginning.

Great soundGreat sound for the price and features as well. Bluetooth works exceedingly well and unlike some of its competitors still retains a wired input as well. The appearance of the speakers is appealing and they are easily transportable even in your suitcase!
