Designed for absolute accuracy, the Sony MDR-MV1 headphones let you hear your music precisely as it was recorded. Compatible with High Resolution music formats, these Sony headphones feature an incredible frequency response. With the ability to reproduce sounds from 5Hz all the way to 80kHz, you get to hear your music without compression or harmonic distortion – just as you would do when it’s performed live.
HD driver units for stunning clarity
Innovatively designed drivers are lightweight but highly rigid. This makes them fast to respond, giving you the classic ‘snap’ from the first strike of a drum skin. The high rigidity also helps in reducing distortion, meaning you get to hear a more accurate sound – whatever the volume. Structural ducts let the drivers ‘breathe’ easily, helping to reduce compression and opening the sound out – especially at higher volumes.
Spatial sound
Sony’s 360 spatial sound reproduction lets you hear a spacious and properly separated soundstage. Virtualising a speaker-based production environment, you’re able to identify and place all the musicians’ within the soundstage. If you want to follow the bass guitar, for example, this is clearly positioned within the mix – as are all other instruments and vocalists.

As standard, the quality connection cables uses a pro-type 6.35mm (1/4”) jack. A 3.5mm connector is also supplied, letting you fit the headphones to the vast majority of outputs. The cables are detachable, making it easier to route them around studio equipment and also replace them if damaged.
