The power to impress With not one but two bass cones per speaker, the 603 S3 delivers a deep, powerful bass. As this is a 3-way speaker, the woofers are dedicated to bass, meaning they can concentrate on the bottom end of business, without having to reproduce critical mid-range information, such as vocals. In effect, this means they act as a separate subwoofer, dropping the bass to window-rattling levels.
Better on the inside, still handsome on the outside The 603 S3’s sleek good looks remain largely as before, but inside the cabinet there’s been extensive improvements. Upgraded electronics promote a more transparent and open sound, while the cabinet itself has a new bass port design and is stiffer, both of which reduce resonance.
