One box does it all
Packing a powerful amp with Bluetooth connectivity, digital and analogue inputs plus a quality tuner radio, the Cambridge Audio AXR100 is your one-stop solution to all-inclusive stereo playback.
Powerful, 100 watt performer with two sets of speaker outputs
With a mighty 100 watts per channel at hand, the Cambridge Audio AXR100 packs a powerful punch. Providing ample power for the largest rooms, the AXR100 is perfect for filling bigger spaces with smooth, effortless sound. Twin speaker outlets mean you can have a pair of speakers in another room or spread four speakers around a large, open-plan space.
Your whole system connected – including a turntable
Featuring a phono input (for turntable with MM cartridge), the AXR100 is the perfect amp for a vinyl based system. This is just the beginning, though. Four RCA phono inputs are ideal for a CD player, streamer, games console and other source. There’s also a 3.5mm AUX input at the front that’s handy for temporary connections – such as an MP3 player or smartphone. For more bass, you can add your choice of active subwoofer via the dedicated output.
As well as being more powerful than the smaller AXR85 model, the AXR100 also features a built-in DAC (Digital to Analogue Convertor) for connection to your digital sources. Twin optical and a coaxial digital input are perfect for hooking up your TV, games console, DVD/Blu-ray player or any other device with a digital output. Connecting digitally means you can take advantage of the latest digital technology built into the AXR100, for the best sound possible.
With Bluetooth built-in, streaming music from your smartphone, tablet or laptop is just a click away. Pair with your device and effortlessly stream your stored music and popular music streaming services such as Spotify, Deezer and Apple Music.
Covering all the bases, the Cambridge Audio AXR100 also features a built-in FM/AM radio. With 30 presets, you can quickly call up all your favourite stations. The RDS (Radio Data System) FM tuner displays the radio name and gives other handy display information.
Sleek new style
The entire Cambridge AX Series has a fresh new look that catches the eye. The Lunar Grey front panel contrasts with the black top and sides, making it ‘pop’ into crisp focus. The cool white display and logical layout give a timeless style that’s typical of the Cambridge Audio brand. The teardrop profile with wedge foot mirrors the CX Series, showing a strong family link between ranges.
Make the Cambridge Audio AXR100 the hub of your system and enjoy top quality sound from all your sources.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Amos C from Delightfully rounded A good while back decided the record player (with built in speakers) that i had wasn't cutting it anymore. As someome with a small amount of audio knowledge and not as much time to google as one would like, I spoke to a professional. Cue richer sounds southampton to take the turntable discogs told me was a good entry point and then reccomend a receiver that matches its level in both budget and technical level along with suggesting an excellent set of speakers. The receiver itself, it takes something quiet and makes it louder before giving it to my speakers amd it does it well. I'd never heard of cambridge audio before getting the AXR100 but they've been in business making quality stuff for a good while. While on the budget end of the audio market the AXR100 feels nothing like budget, from the feel to the sound to the whole input and output setup the whole thing screams quality. It feels like something i'll only every upgrade when everything else in my setup is miles ahead and this can't keep up. ALSO, it's got bluetooth! Didn't realise until it arrived and I was unboxing this has almost completley replaced my little UE speaker around the house

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jazza from Exemplary service and knowledgeable advice Recently bought a hifi system from Richer Sounds in Oxford. It was a clear decision to buy it there and nowhere else following our previous excellent experience there buying an expensive TV. Nothing is too much trouble. No question too small or ridiculous. Patience, knowledge and a total lack of pushiness characterise their service. The whole experience and quality of support make buying a pleasure at Richer Sounds.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Chris 1965 from Well worth the money Went for this model as the AXR85 doesn't have digital inputs. Has that great " British" sound to it, a warm tone, can be adjusted through the equaliser if you want. Will benefit from livelier sounding speakers, I have Elac debut B6.2 which are great speakers but also on the warm side, so not the best match. Pro's Good sound 100whatts Bluetooth Digital inputs Looks nice Cons No WiFi No USB play Ok Dac.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Leonovenden from Very impressive with power to play with This amp has past my expectations as this amp I was not looking at to buy at all until I had a long chat with the guys at richer sounds The music that I mainly listen to is drum n bass as I have this linked up to technics 1210’s plus a mixer but I do also listen to all sorts of genes that being reggae,RNB,jazz, blues, hip hop to pop and so on This amp past my expectations for the money it has this sound that will make you want to listen to all your music again and again being volume low or high or just mid level the sound is just clear, warm with great hi’s and fantastic lows also with the use of tone controls which I always feel is a must with all amps I didn’t expected it to look and feel so professional which it dose I would say the the only thing to bring it down is the volume control knob could feel a bit better and the remote control could feel and look better as it feels like but of cheap plastic but it all works The features are also ok on this amp I like the way you can bi wire using a/b speaker selection on the amp whilst have four biding posts on the back of the unit so big jumble of cables shoved in one post it keeps things clean.I would say the Bluetooth does not have a very long range and could be better by having wifi built in or if there where a way I could upgrade the Bluetooth??.when connected the sound is still good and even has a little display that is connected. 100watts per channel for the price is perfect for what I needed always feel it’s good to have a little more power and this amp delivers not just in sound the luner gray is a very nice touch.. I run this amp with monitor audio silver 100s I’m very impressed with the setup thanks to the guys at richer sounds for there experience and advice.. Thanks Cambridge audio for making a amp that is affordable with really really great sound and power

Rated 5 out of 5 by Stu5 from Great Sound and Connectivity! Pounds for Sounds this is a very impressive amplifier. Surprised, yes very much so. Purchased for a second system that would have a Bluesound Node 2 and a Sony DVD connected to it. The streamer via traditional phono interconnects and the DVD via Co-ax. In both cases the clarity of the sound, soundstage and width of the sound surpassed my expectations. The amps timing is superb and easily follows the music. Well produced music shines across a variety of genres. Straightforward to set up and not too fussy about placement the one thing that was apparent that using decent interconnects did make a difference. The sensitivity of this amp may surprise you - even upgrading the powerlead and adding a Tacima power block improved things. Didn't expect that at this level. If you are looking for an amp in this price bracket that lets the music flow, letting the music just be the music then this is well worth an audition. Highly recommended!

Rated 4 out of 5 by Eoinflannery from Good amp. Bluetooth is poor Great amp. Setup a doddle. However the bluetooth isn't great. Bar leaving the phone on top of the amp it's no good for walking around the kitchen. Keeps cutting in And out. But overall would recommend. Great service fast delivery.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Jedwards from Very happy This originlly was not my first option as that was out of stock. However the salesperson on the phone was very helpfully and recieved a great deal on an excellent product. The amplifier was also delivered in under 24hrs for a very reasonable price. Very happy customer! Thank you very much

Rated 5 out of 5 by test_explosion from A delight to use, and almost absolutely perfect Since I bought this from richer sounds around 4 months ago, I've come to appreciate this amp more and more. I've gradually built up my sound system which the amp readily accommodates. Now I'm running 4x Mordaunt Short Ms20i Pearl speakers and 1 x B&W PV1 subwoofer from the AXR100 and it works an absolute treat. Sounds pristine and looks beautiful under my TV (which I've also connected to it through an RCA). The one very minor gripe is that the bluetooth cuts out from time to time and isn't the highest quality receiver which I would have been hoping for at this price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Timão from Magic I struggled to bid farewell to the trusted amplifier I’d had for just over 20 years. I needed something special to pair up with a pair of Falcon speakers. The AXR100 has delivered. Just today i’ve listened to classical music, spiritual jazz, a set of ragas recorded in Lahore, dub, ambient synth music, French chanson, cheesy Xmas songs, and on and on. It’s all sounding superb on the ears.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Lee G from Amazing power for the money I bought this to stream via its DAC from a Sonos Port and drive an old pair of TDL Rtl3 floor standers. The speakers are 25 years old but of high quality although in Kaz’s (the excellent sales person) opinion ‘a bit thirsty’. The power of the amp is such that it doesn’t struggle to drive them, unlike a couple of more expensive amps we tried, and the reproduction is excellent. I previously had an Arcam Delta 290 amp running the TDL’s and, whilst the Cambridge can’t match the Arcam’s valve design for warmth, it’s inbuilt DAC makes it ideal for coupling with digital streamers. An unbeatable amp for the first price.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Allihies Mark from Nice Amp , outstanding service! Bought the Cambridge Audio AXR100 from Bristol store and brought it back home to Rep of Ireland. The unit was faulty and I reported this to the shop. They did not hesitate to send me out a replacement within a couple of days! Fantastic service! The amp itself is easy to use and has great features. It even looks great. Packs quality punch and delivers faultless sounds. Would highly recommend this unit.Paired up to my Audio Technica turntable , it produces exactly the high quality sound I was hoping for. Very pleased with my purchase and will definitely buy from these guys again.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Sergey from Excellent sound This was my first Cambridge Audio purchase. The amp looks very sleek: the colour and finish are well done. The sound, however, is amazing - clarity and power is unbelievable. I used them with old Heco Mythos 500 speakers that I have recently acquired. The speakers have 150 W nominal power and the amp is able to give enough in order to see the potential of these speakers. It is like being at the club - the sound vibrations and loudness. One feature deserves separate mention - bluetooth! Phone connected easily and all my music library has been playing without any problems - amp's remote control allows control of the basic functions as well.

The internet actually wasn't very helpful so i decided to phone RS. Peter, in Glasgow, was extremely helpful and clear and within 24 hours I had upgraded, and within 48 hours the received arrived and got connected. Many thanks

Rated 5 out of 5 by DollyblueMC from Great sound & great value for money I bought this to replace my old Scan-Dyna 3000 that I'd inherited from my Dad. Safe to say it's best years were behind it. The item I originally intended to buy was out of stock, but the exceedingly helpful and amiable telesales guy, Deano, drew my attention to the AXR100 and I'm glad he did. I'm no audiophile, but the sound seems excellent to me. No need for a pre-amp for my turntable and, as an added bonus, the bluetooth feature means I can use Spotify on my laptop through the amp too. I'm also running an old Pioneer CD plsyer through it and, once back from the menders, hopefully an old Pioneer Tape Deck too.

Rated 4 out of 5 by Charliep62 from Nice crisp sound I bought this amp to replace my old topas. The extra power drives my outdoors bose speakers easily whilst delivering a nice crisp sound. My only one comment would be the built in bluetooth receiver does not have the greatest range if you are wanting to control the music from outside.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Paul ice from Question. How this compare to TOPAZ SR20, is the upgrade worth? Mean here audio quality obviously, Topaz seems to struggle with some more complicated music like metal etc it become too chaotic.

Rated 5 out of 5 by FilthyMonkey from So musical, beautiful lows and Dac. I bought these a little over two weeks ago after upgrading to some Q Acoustic 3050i (also from richer sounds). The AXR100 with its 100w per channel powers these speakers beautifully. The amp for the money is crisp detailed and punchy when it needs to be. Even albums I've listened to all my life like Dark Side Of The Moon have more clarity and depth. The vast array of connections makes the amplifier very versatile. The DAC is great and bluetooth is easy to pair with. Digital optical connections make connecting the tv so easy. What swung this amp for me was the good quality phono stage. All in all for the money it has a great sound stage. Great connections and if I had one bone to pick with it it's not happy when streaming Netflix to the tv and pairing to the bluetooth (digital optical connection saved me)
