Amazing Improvement
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] With other Oled TVs I always felt limited by the lack of brightness and thus I immediately tried to max out the brightness - so when I started watching SDR content on the S95c I experienced something I have never seen with any other OLED - I had to turn the brightness down and adjust the contrast enhancer to low from high. And this is with the sun shining through the window during daytime! Game of Thrones’ dark scenes (season 8 ep 1 when Jon speaks to Sam in the crypt) is looking great. For the first time in years I don’t see macro blocking in the dark scenes and I can actually make out shadow detail. This alone is worth the purchase for me!
HDR and HDR10 content looks absolutely stunning as well. Watching a star is born, Bright and the Grand Tour, the colours really pop and highlights stand out in a way I have never seen before, giving the picture an almost lifelike quality. I also compared the filmmaker mode - which also looks stunning and really benefits from the increased brightness of the panel - it basically just adds that little bit that was always missing before and now is as close the a perfect tv as I have ever seen.
I was also wondering whether I would miss Dolby Vision. And to be perfectly honest, I do wish the S95c had DV, for the sole reason that so much of the content is mastered in DV, rather than feeling the HDR or HDR10 options in the Samsung was lacking. Never did I actually feel I was missing anything.
The S95c is the best TV I have ever owned - and is a step up from previous woled panels. The S95c improves massively on the three issues that have bothered me in other oleds - near black performance, colour banding and brightness. It is as close to perfect as I have seen thus far.

Astonishing!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Finally made the jump to OLED with the 77” S95C. To say I’m happy with my purchase would be an understatement.
Unboxing and set up was very straightforward, especially considering the size. The TV is incredibly thin due to the use of the One Connect box, which attaches neatly to the rear of the very weighty pedestal stand and gives the assembled unit a very sleek overall appearance.
Powering up for the first time, you’re guided through the initial configuration screens. After a quick firmware update it was ready to go and I fired up the 4K Blu-ray player to let the S95C stretch its legs. It did not disappoint!
From Blade Runner 2049 & Dune to No Time To Die & Top Gun: Maverick, the S95C just wows. Of course OLED is renowned for its ability to produce deep blacks and high contrast but the superior peak brightness and colour saturation of the S95C takes it to a whole new level, providing a depth to the image that I’ve never previously experienced.
I spent the next few days subjecting the TV to all manner of challenging content and it never once failed to impress, from the incredible contrast of the docking sequence in Interstellar to the HDR vibrancy of Aquaman or the low-light subtlety of Game of Thrones’ The Long Night.
Whilst I use a dedicated sound system, I did try the built-in speakers and they sounded remarkably decent considering how thin the TV is. The Tizen interface is also clear, snappy and easy to use. I tested the built-in YouTube and iPlayer apps with some HDR content and these performed superbly.
To sum up, this is simply the best TV I have ever owned and I’d strongly recommend it to anyone!

Amazing TV! Great colours
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We had been thinking about upgrading our old TV for a while and were a little sceptical at first due to the significant price tag of this TV but it’s worth every penny!
As our living room faces towards the sun most of the day we had for a long time been struggling with glare and reflection so we were absolutely amazed that this TV does not have the same issue. Even with the curtains wide open the image is clear and there is no to very little glare / reflection.
And that’s not the only thing this TV is outstanding in. Ever watched a movie with a night time scene or similar and struggled to see what’s going on? This is where this TV will make the biggest difference. Black is truly black and even the darkest scenes with lots of activity are crisp and crystal clear. In fact all the colours are life like and the images are so clear on 4K movies that it’s even possible to spot blemishes in the skin of actors.
As for connectivity it was super easy to connect it to Wi-Fi and make use of all of its smart functionality and apps. No longer do we have to boot up another device for accessing streaming apps as these work amazingly well on this smart TV.
As for the build in audio this is also very good for a TV. It really does sound like noises are coming from the right direction and unless you have a super expensive sound bar setup there is no need to connect your old soundbar to this TV.
The only thing I’d say is that it takes some time to get used to the smart features around video and audio quality. When we initially started using the TV we couldn’t figure out why the audio seemed delayed in comparison to the video until we realised that the TV had gone into auto gaming mode which increased the frame rate. But once you get a hang of all the advanced settings it adds a fantastic extra layer to improving your video and gaming experience with this TV.

Best TV Ever
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first OLED TV but everything I play just looks beyond amazing. The picture is almost alive, the colours are super birth and rich. the deepest black, red, green and blue.
Unboxing was easy and the metal stand in the box is perfect match for this extremely thin TV. It comes with one connect box with a single cable being attached to the TV itself and all the additional tv boxes can be hidden away. It has 2 remotes, one small with solar power and a regular one. Overall nice package. Maybe including a wall mount would be a good addition for the next year's model.
The setup was really fast - It can be done with a remote or using your phone - with the SmartThings app
The interface is quick and has all the apps that you would need. You can easily Airplay content, but no Chromecast onboard. It comes with Samsung's free TV which is nice. It has as great gaming mode and i love the Ambient mode that lets you display great scenaries.
The sound is decent but you really need a good sound bar to enjoy fully this amazing TV .
As I mentioned the picture is just perfect! Even lower quality or resolution shows are scaled up and still look great! This is the brightest TV I've seen, even at night i turn on the eye comfort mode as it was too bright! I see details on movies I've never seen before! Overall 10 out of 10!

Awesome vivid colours
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What struck me was how thin/slim the frame is when you take the TV out of the box Assembly process is fairly easy, putting the stand together and attaching it to the back of the TV. However, i felt that the stand weighs a ton.
The one connect box is quite cool, as you can have neatly your cables neatly tucked away.
Setting up for the first time can be done by smartphone or remote control and fairly straight forward. The TV comes with 2 remote controls and I prefer the smart remote. It's almost basic but with a lot of functions just from a combination of a few buttons-Minimalistic but very cool.
From the moment you turn the TV on, the colours are pretty impressive, the pictures are so clear, vivid colours and crisp regardless of how bright or dark the room is. It is really awesome.
The smart TV has more than enough Apps, with pretty much all the popular ones on there.
Yet to try the gaming aspect and look forward to see what it's like.
Overall it is a pretty impressive TV, with some amazing quality of pictures

One of the best TVs on the market!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Having owned numerous OLED TVs over the last decade, this was by far the most impressive out of the box experience; setup was relatively quick and hassle-free.
The TV itself is a very sleek, premium-looking dark slate which should look great in any household. There are thinner TVs, but many of those are prone to bending. This, at ~1cm, is I feel a great compromise between thin and rigid. The all-metal stand is hefty and should be well-suited to holding the TV, while also being easy to mount on even fairly narrow TV stands.
One of my favourite features of the S95C is the OCB (One Connect Box), and I don't understand why more manufacturers don't adopt a similar system. Rather than cluttering up the back of your TV in a spaghetti of power, USB and HDMI cables, all of your device/connection cables go into a separate box that can be stored away somewhere hidden or easier to access, and then you just have one cable going from this box to the back of the TV. It's a fantastic way of making your setup look so much cleaner, while also making it much easier to change things, if you want to add/remove a device, so bravo Samsung.
The Tizen system feels very responsive this year, and the app support should have you covered for all of your major music/video streaming and on-demand services, to ensure you can watch most things from the comfort of your TV without needing separate devices. The Tizen system can also recognise your Blu-ray and gaming console devices and set them up appropriately.
Audio performance on the S95C is very good for a TV. No, it won't replace a soundbar, much less a dedicated, multi-speaker home theatre setup, but for everyone else it will do a great job. It's a relatively hefty audio system by built-in TV standards and shouldn't have any difficulty getting the volumes that may be required of it.
But what about the picture? Wow... Simply incredible. A weakness of previous OLEDs has been a somewhat dim image in very bright living rooms. QD OLEDs like this S95C have improved massively here and this will be much more suitable for a lot more living rooms now. It may not go quite as bright as the brightest LCDs, but the picture will be much better in comparison. HDR is mesmerising, especially if you can watch in dark viewing conditions. Viewing angles are incredible, even if you're right off to the side, so another great choice for family viewing.
Quite simply one of the best TVs on the market. Well worth putting on your shortlist!

Gorgeous display, easy to use
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first time setting up a 65in TV, so it was a bit bulkier than I'm used to and harder to get into place, but this is helped by the innovative separation of a lot of the electronics and cable ports into a separate box. This connects to the screen via a choice of two lengths of cables, so can be placed about a metre below the TV, putting the power/input cable tangle out of sight, behind what looks like a cable or satellite box. The stand is quickly attached to the screen panel. This two-part approach makes for an simple but elegant look.
On connecting the TV up, I logged into my existing Samsung account and after checking for a firmware update, I was into the main screen. Whenever I've attached a source such as a cable or satellite set-top box or a game console, the TV has identified the device, and it appears on the home page, so no more cycling through HDMI1, HDMI2... until you find the right source. The two remote controls are interesting here - one standard Samsung control, and one small simpler one designed just for power on/off, navigating the home page and changing volume and channel. This is very cool, charged by a solar cell on the back, easy to use and a great alternative. I haven't used the bigger remote control since set up.
Onto the screen itself, it's fantastic. There's an option to adjust brightness based on ambient light, and that seems to work well. It's absolutely bright enough in the day time, and really shines in the evening when the pure OLED black makes the images pop. As a gaming display, the 60Hz refresh rate gives a lovely smooth feel. As a PC display the crisp high-resolution pixels and high dynamic range gives a very clear display. Watching TV programmes and movies on this is very immersive, with the range of brightness and depth of darkness making it seem more like a window than a screen. The perfect black is particularly useful when watching movies or shows filmed with non 16:9 letterbox borders, as in the evening you no longer have grey areas around the picture distracting you; you just don't see those areas.
Overall, it's a great TV, easy to use, an awesome picture and lots of innovations that make the viewing experience so much more pleasurable.
