The R-N600A is constructed to Yamaha's ToP-ART principle. Top-ART design ensures that the signal path is as short and as symmetrical as possible. This results in the highest precision and lowest distortion. The low-vibration chassis is equipped with a resin frame Art Base that absorbs vibrations for a cleaner sound. A Pure Direct switch bypasses the tone and balance controls for an even more detailed, true-to-life sound quality.

With 80 watts per channel, this Yamaha has ample power to hand. Powerful enough for large scale, high volume music, the R-N600A is bound to be a party-pleaser. For a boost to the bottom end, simply add your choice of active sub, via the dedicated subwoofer output.

A Great Modern Amp With Beautiful Retro Looks
I have had this amp for about three weeks and I am delighted with it. It has so many up-to-date features and yet it was very easy to set up and get running. Even using it to play hi-res audio files located on my PC presented no technical challenges.
And its appearance more than satisfies my nostalgia for the way amps looked 30+ years ago!
As for how it sounds, I'm very pleased. It powers my Mission floor standing speakers as well as my desk top speakers, and selecting between the speaker pairs is easily facilitated by the comprehensive remote control.
It's a lovely amp, well deserving a 5 star rating.

Good Service and Excellent Product
I'm very satisfied both with this purchase and the service I received from Richer Sounds.
They agreed a very attractive price match - so all the advantages of the lowest price, convenient store location, good guarantee, and rapid delivery direct from the manufacturer, coupled with pleasant and knowledgeable staff/service.
The receiver is equally satisfactory - easy to set up, excellent sound quality, convenient to operate, and attractive appearance.
Only two very minor criticisms of the receiver - while the build quality is clearly high, the sound control knobs (bass, treble etc) are plastic rather than metal/alloy and so 'feel' rather cheap compared with the other controls; and the receiver comes with several streaming services (Spotify etc) ready installed. This may be of benefit to most users (though not to me) so they all need to be 'scrolled through' to reach the the desired signal source.
I have been so pleased with this purchase that I decided to construct a proper hi-fi rack, with solid heavy duty shelving and spikes, to house all my audio equipment. It is possible to easily build a high quality rack for about £200 compared to almost identical the equivalent Atacama model costing well over £800!
So, overall, a very positive opinion of this receiver and Richer Sounds. Thank you.
